Blue Opal is a gem in the heart of Pelican Key in St. Maarten. As you open the front door you are greeted with the view of the ocean. The distinctive aqua colored kitchen is well laid out and a favorite with private chefs and foodies alike. There are 5 bedrooms in total: 3 rooms on the main level, the Master upstairs - with the best view in the house- and a separate apartment.

The villa is only three miles from Princess Juliana international airport, situated in the exclusive area of Pelican Key in Sint Maarten. This is one of the most beautifully developed residential and resort areas on the island, with the advantage of close proximity to Simpson Bay with its large choice of restaurants, shops, boutiques, casinos and entertainment.  The villa sits in the heart of Pelican Key with magnificent Ocean Views.

  We enjoyed our stay here as a family. There were some bumps given the fire at the power plant before we arrived but the owner and management company were super responsive to any issues. We would absolutely recommend staying at this house for anyone thinking about traveling to Sint Maarten. The house is gorgeous, the master bedroom is off the charts and it is convenient to restaurants and beaches.

  Blue Opal was a beautiful villa! It was my birthday celebration and we were greeted with a complimentary bottle of champagne. The rooms were comfortable and equipped with an AC unit and great wifi. Unfortunately, we lost power on our last day and the generator was not working. We were out of power for about 7 hours total, but thankfully the power was eventually restored. Overall, our experience was great and will recommend IRE vacation services.

  The home is lovely just like the pictures. The view was breath taking. More than enough room for a group of 7 women with room to spare. Close to plenty of restaurants, grocery store, night life and the dock for boat trips.

  We rented this house with 9 adults and it was absolutely amazing. The house was in great condition, perfectly designed for entertaining. The view and the outdoor space made it so that we never wanted to go inside. We did have a small issue with the A/C, but that was addressed very quickly. The house is located in a very hilly area, but it's still walkable to the main road and back. If you need a driver, ask to be put in contact with Henry. I have no doubt that he is the best driver on the island.

  We had a wonderful stay at Blue Opal. The grandkids loved the pool and their were plenty of rafts and chairs and sitting areas for everyone. The house has a beautiful view. There are quite a few dogs in the neighborhood and are very noisy even at night. I would recommend a stay at Blue Opal .

  Blue Opal is a beautiful and absolutely perfect home to enjoy a vacation in Sint Maarten! The home itself is incredibly well appointed and the pool is delightful! As soon as you walk in the door, the view will take your breath away. There are so many thoughtful touches that you would want – as simple as a bathing suit hanger in the downstairs master bathroom shower, to double washer and dryers so you are never without clean, dry beach towels. The kitchen is truly equipped with everything you could ever need – there is a regular coffee maker and a Nespresso machine as well. The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of towels in the home. The property itself was also beautiful and the gardens were perfectly groomed. There are beautiful trees all around and I loved listening to all the birds every morning with my coffee.
  
  The owner was wonderful at communicating and answering questions, and she has the most amazing management staff in IRE Vacation (the management hosts on island). Maia was outstanding at communicating with me many times before we arrived and while we were on island. Maia and Cathy could not have been more helpful! There was even a welcome package with water and drinks in the fridge and bread and jams in case you needed a quick bite before you went to the market. So thoughtful!
  
  One thought – this is an island where you will definitely want to rent a car. This house is up in the hills, and it really is not conducive to walking to many attractions. There are so many beaches around the island, but you do have to drive there. Mullet Bay, Pinel Island, and Karakter in Simpson Bay Beach were some of our favorites. Plus, you will want to eat in Gran Case at least once! To travel around the island all day and then come “home” to Blue Opal was a dream come true!

  Blue Opal Villa boasts contemporary amenities like Bluetooth surround sound systems both outside on the pool deck and inside. The decor is beachy without getting kitschy. Little details like Aqua-line and Aroma toiletries, Jonathan Adler coasters, a Nespresso machine, and a well-equipped bar set this property apart. The second-floor master bedroom is a highlight with glass walls and panoramic, sweeping ocean views that will wow. There’s a tastefully appointed outdoor shower with a pergola so guests can take a shower under the stars!
  This house was made for entertaining and is perfect for multi-generational, large family gatherings. The seamless flow between indoor/outdoor dining areas, multi-level deck, chef's kitchen and outdoor BBQ are large enough to accommodate larger groups comfortably.
  The villa is centrally located with great shopping, dining, casinos, beaches, and houses of worship within easy access.
  
  The hosts were friendly and welcoming - they were able to accommodate our early check-in request and were available via WhatsApp throughout our stay to assist with any questions or concierge services we needed. Thank you IRE Vacations and Blue Opal villa. We will definitely be back!
